About Anna Han

I’m an Experience Designer and User Researcher born in Auckland, New Zealand.
Now seeking opportunities in Germany as a Service Designer, CX Designer, or UX Researcher.

I’m particularly interested in how analogue contexts, employee culture, and organisational behaviour contributes to the service experience, and consequently, the brand narrative.

I cut my teeth as a Research Assistant at Sky TV NZ, then furthered myself as an end-to-end UX/UI Designer at Vista Entertainment Solutions.

I give back to my design community by leading volunteer teams for the Service Design Network’s Young Talent Board initiative. Prior to moving abroad, I organised events for UX Auckland for 4 years.

My original love was graphic design. I relished the challenge of visually expressing a message or concept in the most effective way possible: perhaps effective visual communication can change people’s minds, then eventually, change people’s behaviours.
However, my honours year project at Starship Children’s Health lead to two epiphanies that changed the course of my life:
  1. Talking to people was infinitely more interesting than the designing of graphic deliverables.
  2. My career as a designer will be for naught if I wasn’t addressing the core issue afflicting end-users.

My ‘discovery’ of Human Centred Design, User Experience, and Design Research incepted in me a belief that good design requires problem finding first in order to problem solve effectively. Talking with end-users affirmed that the answer already lies with people, you just need to ask better questions.
